Jaclyn is a registered U.S. patent agent with nearly 25 years of experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and strategic patent portfolio development. She works closely with innovators, startups, and established companies to secure strong intellectual property protection across a wide range of technologies.
Jaclyn advises clients on all aspects of U.S. and international patent prosecution, including preparing and filing patent applications, responding to USPTO Office actions, and coordinating global patent strategies. She has extensive experience guiding clients through prior art analysis, patentability assessments, and portfolio management, helping them build and protect valuable patent assets.
Her technical practice spans mechanical, electromechanical, software systems and methods, image processing including 2D & 3D modeling, virtual platforms, medical technologies, and communications-related innovations, allowing her to translate complex technical concepts into precise, defensible, allowable patent claims. Jaclyn also supports PTAB-related matters and patent appeals, and provides strategic insight on strengthening patent positions throughout the lifecycle of an application.
Before joining the firm, Jaclyn spent nearly 20 years at a large law firm, where she represented a broad client base ranging from individual inventors to multinational corporations. Earlier in her career, she worked at a patent services firm, where she conducted patentability, validity, and landscape searches, and trained and supervised a team of researchers, further refining her skills.
Jaclyn is an active member of the intellectual property community, having been a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) during the course of her practice. She continues to serve on the Mechanical Engineering Advisory Board at The Catholic University of America, and has previously been involved with the Society of Women Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
She has both a Bachelor and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Catholic University of America.
