John Seager

Law Clerk

John is a Law Clerk at Cushman, where he supports the firm’s patent practice and contributes to legal research for the PTAB Handbook.

John earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, with a focus on intellectual property and emerging technology law. During law school, he served as a student attorney in the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic, where he drafted patent applications for inventors.

Before law school, John graduated from the College of William & Mary with a B.S. in Neuroscience in 2021 and worked as a deputy clerk for the General District Court in Richmond, Virginia.

He is currently awaiting the results of the Virginia bar examination and preparing to sit for the Patent Bar.
